2024 Home Design Trends!

Hello SpaceLift friends & family! We are back from a well enjoyed holiday break + new year reset to share all of the best 2024 home trends with you!

2024 is the year of sustainability, timeless trends &

mixing in old with the new. Whether you’re refreshing your home, planning a major renovation, or aiming to redecorate a room at some point this year,— here are 5 of our favorite interior design trends that will be BIG for 2024 and years to come!

  1. Warm wood tones

We are embracing the timeless beauty of wood! Implementing new wood tones can add that touch of warmth a space may have been missing, and learning to update spaces around pre-existing original wood tones creates the most beautiful updates that stay true to a homes timeline + character. Below are examples of new-build warm tone kitchens & old kitchens made new (by updating finishes other the beautiful wood cabinets!)

2. Brown Renaissance

For 2024 we will continue to see designs trending out of grays and into taupey browns. Neutrals color pallets will favor warm undertones rather than cool and brown may become particularly popular! Shades of brown will become a well liked design choice for accent walls, furnishings and accent pieces.

3. Zellige tiles in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms

Zellige tiles come in square and rectangle cuts and add the perfect amount of organic texture to modern spaces. We love this neutral selection, but have also seen great use of color pops with these tiles! Below are a few ceramic versions as well as peel and stick versions of these tiles.

(ps. peel and stick tile brands such as TileBar and SMART TILES have seriously upped their game and are the perfect option for completing an update on a budget!)

4. Wood Slat Accent Walls

Playing off of the warm wood trend for 2024— Accent walls are a great way to add character & warmth to a space. Slat walls are a huge trend for 2024 because they pull from MCM roots, but look amazing when applied into many modern, rustic and organic blended spaces!

5. Gold finishes

Some design experts aren’t so sure if gold if a quick trend or if it’s here to stay, but we LOVE the use of gold when used sparingly. Choosing gold for a statement lighting fixture, for drawer pulls, or a bathroom faucet can absolutely MAKE a space.
